About the artist

He was born in Bethesda MD and grew up around the farms and woodlands of PA. After serving in the US AF he wandered West settling near the Wyoming Bighorn mountains where he ranched, guided hunting, and fishing trips into Wyoming and Montana wilderness areas for over 25 yers, He has since returned to the Blue Ridge Mountains of PA.

“My whole life has revolved around mountains,fields and streams. It only seems natural to bring these things to canvas and share a world few get to experience for the length of time needed to truly know the flora and fauna”

Mr Lucas is currently on the Ned Smith Nature and Art Center Committee in Millersburg PA by invite. Also by invite he has joined The Perry County Council of the Arts and  The Landis House Art Museum in New Port PA where his work is on display.
